Sherlock and I by Azymmuth Sherlock and I by Azymmuth
I'm submitting something again, yay! :D And I have no idea if this has been done yet, but I did it anyway.

Referenced from this image [link] (the foreshortening on John's right leg was such a rhymes-with-witch to draw...).

It's for the movie Withnail and I, and here I made Sherlock Withnail and John, well, "I". I saw it very recently because I read somewhere of a critic mentioning the Sherlock series as having similarities to this film, or something like that. And I pretty much agree.

It's quite the hilarious movie btw, with some memorable one-liners. And if you like British snarkiness, and Sherlock (or just anything British) you will probably like this.

The title font is stolen from the one by Ralph Steadman, as seen here [link]

Next, I'm either gonna post some old crap, or some new Valentine's crap. Or both, most likely both.

Withnail and I Bruce Robinson
(BBC) Sherlock Gatiss and Moffat and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Perfect! Yes, there is definitely a similarity between the two. I like to imagine John watching Withnail & I sometime, and afterwards swearing to make sure he and Sherlock never touch drink or drugs again.

Haha awesome crossover! :D I sort of want to here Sherlock channeling Withnail, maybe rattling off a little Hamlet. Then again he probably would have deleted Shakespeare...

Thank you! And perhaps he did delete Shakespeare, as his works don't seem very conducive to crime-solving. But who knows? ^^

Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one who was instantly reminded of Withnail & Marwood's antics when first introduced to Sherlock and John (I'm sure that without Mrs H. there'd be teabags growing in their sink too). :D (Because of the Withnail association, I was expecting Sherlock to be far more uncomfortable with their country expedition in the Hounds of Baskerville, though. You know, "I'm in a park and I'm practically dead" kind of approach to going to the great outdoors... Yep, that movie is endlessly quotable, like Sherlock!)

Ohmygosh, I am so in love with that movie even though there is like zero plot and the characters aren't terribly likable, they are just so, so... endearing somehow? I guess I love characters that are complete and utter failures at life, teetering on the edge of sanity and reason (with Marwood being an exception by the end). Those two really could've used a Mrs. Hudson, you are so right. And it would've been interesting to have seen a more reluctant Sherlock in Baskerville as you say, but he was just too hungry for a case I suppose, haha! And the QUOTES, oh man. xDDD

Ahhh that's one of my favourite films! I don't really see how it is related to Sherlock though, apart from the bromance ;p It's a cute drawing nevertheless, I enjoy seeing Sherlock so dishevelled Xp

I have no idea either, I am just strangely reminded of Sherlock and John's dysfunctional bromance, much like yourself, lol XD (and I guess for the British-ness too haha!). THANK YOU!!!
